London A Wonderland For Travelers

Nothing is as exciting as having a London City break. London, being the capital of England, is one of the busiest and most populous cities in Europe where modern lifestyle is intermingled with tradition. This is the city where the most well-known royal family resides and this is also the city from where they virtually ruled the world for centuries.

Visiting London is surely a splendid experience for every traveler. London is truly a global city packed with places of interest and indeed a place where a traveler can find a story in every nook and corner of the city.

There is no shortage of things to do during a London city break for the enthusiastic traveler. Here are some very popular places which travelers from every part of the World surely visit during their stay in London which I found simply amazing:

British Museum: What a marvelous architecture! The building and surrounding area of the museum still carrying the age old history of Great Britain. Located on Great Russell Street. Observing the antics, artifacts, arts and human history is an eye opening  experience for a first timer to the museum. I wanted to spend more time inside but I was in a rush, I suggest leaving your schedule a bit free, as you can really loose yourself in here.

Tower of London: This is one of the oldest and most famous buildings in London. With almost a thousand years of enriched royal history being famous as a jewel house, zoo, arsenal and execution chamber any enthusiastic traveler can find this place worth visiting.

National Maritime Museum: A London City break can’t be complete without visiting the historical Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London. This is considered one of the largest museums in the world, mostly known for “Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)”. There are also an innumerable amount of other things of historical importance displayed here.

Madam Tussauds London: With 14 interactive areas and over 300 amazing wax figures of World famous personalities, Madam Tussauds always packs a crowd. Observing these lively wax models, touching them and getting pictures with these figures surely should not be missed. I just loved this place!

Westminter Abbey: This astonishing Gothic church is marked as the UNESCO World Heritage site. Placed behind the Houses of Parliament this church is associated with many famous historical events in London. As almost all known British personalities including Royals, Scientists and Poets were associated with it at one time or another.

Apart from these famous places, there are hundreds of other places worth visiting in London. Taking a trip with Thames River Cruise and observing the city from the river is really a wonderful experience as well. London is also a shopping paradise where thousands of global brands have their showrooms and outlets in different locations throughout the city.

On a final note. Don’t be afraid to try the street food. London has some of the best street food in Europe, London being a melting pot of the world, you are sure to find a world of wonder for your taste buds.
