- Stunning Phang Nga Bay
The sheer limestone islands that rise up out of green waters are a characteristic feature of Phang Nga Bay. Take a tour of the area for some amazing gravity defying formations of limestone. The incredible beauty of this place makes it a must visit on your Phuket trip. While visiting Phang Nga Bay, don’t miss out on Koh Panyee and James Bond Island. See some deserted beaches, paddle a canoe through the caves of Phang Nga or take a lazy cruise on a Chinese Junk. Phang Nga should be on the top of your list if you are an adventure or nature lover.
- Big Buddha
Considered to be one of the most revered landmarks on the island, the statue of Big Buddha sits on top of Nakkerd Hills. A 45m tall white marble statue, it is visible no matter where you are in southern part of the island. Do visit Big Buddha for breath-taking 360 degree view of Phuket. Apart from the scenic views, you must also visit the museum located here. Peaceful environment with soothing tinkling of small bells, this destination never fails to please its visitors.
- Old Phuket Town
With its magnificent Sino-Portuguese splendours, Old Town poses a surprise for its visitors. A hidden treasure of Phuket, Old Phuket Town consists of funky shops, Chinese and colonial architecture, classic restaurants and more. Roam around the streets of Old Phuket Town or spend an afternoon exploring its interesting structures, you will fall in love with the place.
- Prompthep Cape Viewpoint
Don’t get surprised if Prompthep Cape does not seem as splendid as you expected. This place draws a high number of tourists every single evening at sunset time. Prompthep Cape is a nice place to take short walk to the lighthouse. The Cape offers dramatic views over the Andaman Sea from the viewpoint. If you want to avoid the crowds don’t come here at sunset.
- Golf at Red Mountain
Rated among the best golf courses in Asia, Red Mountain has gained immense popularity since it opened in 2007. Located at the centre of Phuket Island, this golf course has been getting rave reviews and it is certainly one of the best golf courses in Thailand.
- Wat Chalong
Constructed at the beginning on 19th century, Wat Chalong on of the largest Buddhist temples on the island. There are more nearly 30 Buddhist temples across Phuket, yet Wat Chalong is the most popular of all the temples. Visited by both tourists and locals, it is one of the most respected Buddha temples on the island.
- Soi Bangla
A colourful street full of life, Soi Bangla reveals an entirely different face of Phuket. Soi Bangla consists of bars, restaurants, shops and a lot more. If you want a real experience of this street, you must visit the go-go bars. Once you visit Soi Bangla, you will yourself understand why this place is so popular.
- Similan Island
Located about 90 minutes north of Phuket, Similan Islands are popular for their crystal blue waters and white coral sand beaches. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful island groups in the Andaman Sea. Lounge around the sandy beaches or go snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters, Similan Island has something for both leisure and adventure tourist. You can also opt for excursions or camping trips on the island.
- Phuket Fantasea
A fantasy land that stands true to its name, Phuket Fantasea is the biggest show on the island. Located on Kamala Beach, this entertainment park is spread across an immense area. From cultural show to acrobats, Thai dancers to actors, entertainment is at its best here. Enjoy the funfair or go shopping – the kids will really love this one.
- Simon Cabaret
Every night they put on a spectacular Las Vegas style song and dance show and you will be will be dazzled by the colourful and glittering costumes. But everything is not quite as it seems and Simon Cabaret takes you into an entirely different world altogether as all of the parts are played by the amazingly pretty lady boys who have bodies most women (and some men) would die for! Don’t be fooled by their perfect bodies and pretty faces!
