I could hardly find anything inspirational living my mundane life with a 9-5 job. Those uninspired days aren’t worthy to recall. I always had the feeling, to know the world beyond my office desk and cabin. My journey to understand life’s purpose and planet earth took a while to come by. The feeling when you get on seeing mails and advertisements about places you wished to go since childhood is underrated or ignored by most part of working class. Not many times we do realize, most of us just work to clear up the bills. It takes a strong will to leave work and other things behind to set yourself on a traveler’s shoes and am glad I did.
My first thought on selecting my first box to tick in my ‘world tour destinations checklist’ was easily Pangong Tsu Lake in Himalayas. The lake extends from India to Tibet , two countries of top priority for a spiritual traveler who likes relaxing tours. I know my first option is going to be cost effective, euphoric and a lot of fun. Web helped me a great deal in planning with air tickets, hostel searches , transportation options, place reviews , essential know-hows any many more.
The nearest airport to the Pangong Tso Lake would be Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh. Most of the tourist would agree with me on the fact , a trip to Leh wouldn’t be complete without visiting Pangong Tso Lake.Pangong Tso is five hours away from Leh, Kashmir. Leh en route to Pangong gives an enjoyable sight of the beautiful Ladakh region of Kashmir. My first glimpse of bright blue water and rocky shore of Pangong Tso lake looked serene. The narrow ramp of land area through the lake was very enjoyable. The view of colorful migratory birds in the lake area could not be described with words.
Variety of flora and fauna in Pangong Tso along with colors of the beautiful landscape was worth the tiring five hour drive from Leh. I could not do justice to the adventurist in me , since I decided to avoid a stay the night at the camping site nearby. Most of the co tourist had to make the decision too , because the weather is going to be harsh on you after dusk. My journey was completely enjoyable though I could not find a single shack to eat. For goodness the climate was pleasant and my first tour destination did worth quitting my job.
