From the many places that I have managed to visit, Devetashkata Cave in Bulgaria leaves a memorable experience. After making a choice of traveling the world, I decided to make a point of visiting Bulgaria. During this visit, I had a chance to visit one of the most magnificent places to visit on the face of the earth.

 

The Devetashka Cave is an enormous natural cave that has a picturesque view. Located 15 km or 9.3 miles northeast of Lovech in the village of Devetaki, this cave offers a blend of serene environment and breathtaking sites. Archeologists state that this cave was used and inhabited during the Paleolithic era. Its historical significance has made it to be declared as a cultural heritage.

 

This cave is beautiful inside, the piercing rays of the sun peeks through its magnificent holes lighting up the entire cave. You do not have to struggle keeping up with heat. This cave has a tremendous cool interior that creates a relaxing atmosphere.

 

While you are inside the cave, you will see magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. The pristine rivulets enhance the magnificent natural domes and arches. When you visit this exciting location, do not fail to leave your camera behind. This location is perfect for hiking and adventure. Make sure that you have your adventure shoes. You should not forget appropriate clothing; this is because there are locations within the cave that have extremely low temperatures.

Some locations within the cave require experienced guides especially alongside caving and sailing equipments. It is important to note that the caves are closed for visits between 1 June to 31 July to give the bats room for breeding. Due to the vastness of the location, you can choose to have an overnight experience along the Osam River. There are small family hotels that offer good services at affordable costs.

 

Devetashka caves offer a beautiful and serene environment for anyone who is excited about exploring the pristine aspects of the natural world. With a clear itinerary, do not fail to have the Devetashka Caves in your plans because you will not be disappointed.
